Ben Rudick

Director, Capital Markets APL Group

Ben Rudick began his real estate career with APL Group in 2009 and currently is part of its Capital Markets team. APL is a private, global investor founded in 1994; it is not a fund, and it invests its balance sheet opportunistically in real estate, digital infrastructure, and energy assets globally.

At APL, Ben was a member of the Acquisitions team based in Hong Kong and Shanghai where he worked on transactions across Greater China, Japan, and the US. In total, Ben has worked on several billion dollars of transactions globally and has been part of APL’s largest transactions, including acquisition of a $1bn+ office asset in Tokyo, acquisition of a majority stake in a $2bn land portfolio in Taiwan, and development of one of the largest utility-scale solar farms in Japan.

Ben worked closely with APL’s Founder, Bill Schoenfeld, on creation and execution of his philanthropic and impact investing activities. He was the Coordinator of the Social Responsibility Series at the Shanghai Advanced Institution of Finance, where he served as a guest lecturer. He is active in local politics in Arlington, Massachusetts, where he serves as a member of Town Meeting and advocates for expanded access to housing through Arlington Neighbors for More Neighbors, the largest pro-housing group in the area which he founded in 2018. Ben graduated cum laude from Williams College with a B.A. in English and Pre-Medical concentration. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and is based in Boston.
